Rebirth Enterprise Youth Development Program is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the holistic development of youth through emotional intelligence and life skills programming. We intentionally think beyond traditional approaches, using creative and culturally relevant methods to meet the emotional, social, and personal needs of young people. Our work is rooted in restoring hope, fostering resilience, and empowering youth to renew, restore, and transform their lives.
Founded with the belief that students perform better when they have hope and feel heard, Rebirth Enterprise designs programs that create safe, supportive spaces where youth can openly express themselves, build self-awareness, and develop healthy coping strategies. Through spoken word, artistic expression, and interactive group discussions, participants learn essential skills such as emotional regulation, accountability, goal setting, conflict resolution, decision-making, and healthy relationship building.
Rebirth Enterprise has a demonstrated history of successfully implementing youth-focused programs in schools, community settings, and structured youth development environments. Our programming has been delivered through partnerships with schools, youth academies, community organizations, and faith-based institutions, allowing us to reach youth from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences. These partnerships have strengthened program outcomes by aligning emotional intelligence instruction with real-life applications and supportive adult mentorship.
Recent accomplishments include the successful facilitation of multi-session life skills and emotional intelligence programs that increased student engagement, improved self-reflection, and encouraged positive behavior changes among participants. Youth consistently report increased confidence, improved communication skills, and a greater ability to manage emotions and make thoughtful decisions. Our spoken word showcases and youth-led activities have further reinforced self-expression, confidence, and community connection.
Rebirth Enterprise has also demonstrated success with similar programs focused on trauma-informed care, leadership development, and social-emotional learning. By combining evidence-informed practices with culturally responsive delivery, the organization has built trust with youth and families while maintaining strong participation and retention rates.

MEET DORIS DRAKE
Greetings,
My name is Doris Drake. I am a South Carolina native. I received my Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina and my Master of Arts in Counseling from Columbia International University. After graduating from the University of South Carolina, I worked as a 911 Dispatcher for the City of Columbia for over 15 years. While working in that position, I noticed the call volume for youth between the ages of eight and eighteen escalated for behavioral issues, criminal activities, and suicide. I understood kids are being prematurely exposed to things before they are mentally and emotionally prepared to respond in healthy and productive ways.
After receiving my Master's in Clinical Counseling, I resigned from my position as a 911 Dispatcher to work towards creating solutions to the issues the youth are facing. Therefore, I established the Rebirth Enterprise Youth Development Program (REYDP).
Working with the youth is my calling that I have grown to accept and love. I have had the privilege of having a positive impact on the lives of the youth in various ways. I worked with the youth in several churches. I have hosted seminars at youth events on topics such as emotional health, peer pressure, athletic development, and stress management. I have provided my programs in youth summer programs throughout the state of South Carolina and North Carolina, School Districts throughout SC, State Youth Agencies, Government Youth Organizations, and private youth organizations. I also worked in the school system as a substitute teacher to gain a better understanding of how to meet the needs of the youth. I am also an instructor at Alive at 25. I teach this course in high schools throughout South Carolina.
